Fireman's Festival - January 10, 2004 - Mihama, Chiba, Japan

Early every January the fire and rescue organizations in our local area put on a "Dezome-shiki" which loosely translates as "year starting ceremony." They spend months putting the ceremony together and practicing. The ceremony is about two hours in length. Here are a few of the photos from today's festival.
